United Pro Wrestling: Wrestling for a Cause. Fighting for Our Communities.
3,137 days.
That's how long Derek Neal reigned as UPW United States Champion.
His historic title run began on March 10, 2018, at UPW: The New Beginning, where he defeated Randall Shane to capture the championship. From that moment forward, Derek didn't just dominate UPW. He established himself as one of the most respected champions across the South.
Defending the United States Championship throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and even along the East Coast, "The King's Road Slayer" proudly represented UPW wherever he competed. For more than eight years, the title remained around his waist as he took on all challengers and cemented his legacy as one of the greatest champions in UPW history.
But every reign eventually comes to an end.
"Big" Dave was no stranger to Derek Neal. Earlier this year, the two battled in Alabama during Dave's second UPW appearance, continuing a rivalry built through hard-fought wars inside the ring. Now, Dave has accomplished what many believed was impossible. He has dethroned Derek Neal and stands as the new UPW United States Champion.
A new era has begun.
The Ruthless Era!
"Ruthless" Ryan Ramsey is the NEW United Pro Wrestling Champion! In what was advertised and scheduled to be a 3-Way Dance for the title involving Charles Colton, Brandon Wolfe and Shawn Hurley, Mr. Ramsey came out during the ring introductions. Ryan complained about not being included in this match listing all of his past accomplishments as well as defeating Mr. Anderson (Kennedy) recently in the WWA. Ramsey even mentioned his win earlier in the night against "Big" Dave. Eventually Ryan was let into the match upon the agreements of the participants and thus the match became a "Fatal-Four Way."
Ryan was out of the ring when Charles Colton hit Brandon Wolfe with a devastating piledriver. Ramsey quickly entered the ring, tossed Colton out and covered the former UCW Ultimate Champion to win the UPW Championship.
Thank you to everyone that came out to our HUGE Bowling Green return and our debut at White Squirrel Brewery. It was indeed a success.
The action was hot and intense from the open match of Rolando Perez vs Shean Christopher, the shocking win by "Ruthless" Ryan Ramsey to steal the UPW Championship and the main event battle between "Superstar" Ray Waddell against United States Champion, Derek Neal.
We can't wait to be back on Sunday October 11th for "The Bowling Green Massacre" with Derek Neal defending the United States Championship against "Big" Dave!
